Zad Archery Alchemy and Late Systems

The flask tab, potion loop, and the 1.0 systems the demo never opened.

Alchemy and Late Systems

Alchemy is the flask icon on the left tray, one slot past the anvil. Samharia’s store page and the itch.io feature list both promise potions that buff your archer or hurt the wave. The Steam demo stopped before this tab mattered. The 1.0 build ships it next to crafting and gathering. This page is the routing so you do not hunt a cauldron on the hillside.

If you are still in hour one, close this tab. Getting Started and jobs come first. Alchemy is a leftover-gold and leftover-leaf sink, not a Sniper replacement.

Where the flask actually is

The tray order, as tabs unlock, is skill tree, jobs, crafting, alchemy, gathering, then late collection tabs. Players who cropped the window on a tablet thought alchemy was DLC. It is not. Patch 1.0.2 put native resolution first in Settings so the flask stays on screen. Controls covers that click.

Combat keeps running while the flask panel is open, the same way the skill tree idles under a node graph. You do not travel to a lab.

What feeds potions

Herbalism is the first Gathering unlock. The pickaxe tab prints Lv.1: Unlock Herbalism. Leaves fill a green bar while you shoot. Those leaves are the alchemy fuel Samharia described as “potions that empower your archer or destroy enemies.” Mining and Fishing unlock later on the same panel and feed crafts and extra sinks, not the first flask ranks.

Do not spend the gold that should have bought Arrow Fall charges on a potion you cannot brew. Open Herbalism, let the bar move, then click the flask. If the flask is still locked, you skipped Gathering. That is a mining problem, not a missing recipe book.

How to spend without stalling the King

  1. Sniper online, gem chance online, a rare with extra Arrow Fall projectiles equipped.
  2. Gathering Lv.1, Herbalism producing.
  3. Flask ranks that shorten a combat cooldown or add wave damage. Skip vanity cosmetics if the UI offers them.
  4. Stop brewing the moment a Guardian is the next check. A potion does not restore a skipped Guardian; 1.0.2 restart does.
  5. After the King, leftover leaves go back into flask ranks, then cards and shaping if those tabs have lit up.

Blue craft tokens stay on the anvil. Green gems stay on jobs. Alchemy should not steal those wallets.

Cards, shaping, masteries, pets

Demo outros and the Steam “TONS of content” line list card shaping, masteries, Guardian Perks, and aggressive/defensive pets. Those are 1.0 systems that appear as extra left-hand tabs or as Guardian rewards, not as a second map. This wiki will not invent card names or pet stats the live UI has not printed in a citable screenshot.

Treat them like alchemy: open the new tab when it exists, spend leftover currency, do not reset a save to chase a silhouette. Guardian Perks themselves are documented on the guardians page because they drop from those fights.

Masteries sit on top of the skill tree, not inside the first star. If a node is still dark after you maxed charges, you are waiting on a mastery or profession multiplier. Buy the visible node first.

Why this page exists now

Launch-week Steam threads asked for more content, a mining site, and Guardian perks. Alchemy is the system people skip because the demo never forced it. The full game’s five-hour design still has a flask to fill after wave 40. Use it after Sniper, not instead of Sniper.

Ranked kits that ignore potions are on the builds list. Timing for when to sit on a wave is on the farming planner. If Samharia ships a potion patch after 1.0.2, it will land on updates before this page grows a recipe table.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Zad Archery questions.

Where is Zad Archery alchemy?

The flask tab on the left tray, after crafting. It is not a hillside cauldron. Unlock Herbalism on the Gathering tab first.

Should I brew potions before unlocking Sniper?

No. Sniper and gem chance first. Alchemy is a leftover-leaf sink. See jobs.

Do cards and pets have their own wiki pages?

Not until the live UI prints names we can cite. They are 1.0 tabs grouped here. Guardian Perks stay on guardians.

Did the demo include alchemy?

The Steam demo listed alchemy as a full-game feature. 1.0 is where the flask belongs. Do not learn the loop on itch.io and expect the same tab order.
